Dead man walking

           From the very beginning to the end the movie questions the capital punishment, this type of punishment is not the solution for every crime, for example, when people steal they don't deserve to die because of this. 

          On the one hand, Matthew was responsible for murdering teenagers, after raping the girl, so the victim’s parents wanted the court to execute him, but this is not the solution because it would not bring them back. Murderers will never be able to bring their victims back from dead, so It would be worse because they would have to live with the guilty of sending someone to death, besides they don't kill him they will know that the men who killed their son and daughter instead of being suffering in jail is dead. I believe that most of the parents would do everything to protect their children, but killing someone because he or she killed yours sons or daughters is not the best option. If they kill Matthew they will become the thing that they hate, no matter how big is the desire, doesn't matters if they killed an assassin or the best man on the world it is murdering. 

        Finally, he has to be punished severely but not killing him because with this way he will not pay for the actions he had made, what you have to do in this moments is to send him to jail so he can at least think what he had done.
